Pareto Cyber partnered with The Skins Factory to redesign the UI/UX of its cybersecurity platform for mid-market and enterprise organizations. The work established a distinctive visual language across dashboards, risk registers, cyber hygiene, security awareness, remediation, assessments, cases, and threat detection, including a new color system for communicating critical, high, medium, and low levels of risk.

The Challenge

Making complex security risk easier to interpret at a glance

Users needed to move between dashboards, risk registers, assessments, cyber hygiene, security awareness, remediation, active cases, threats, and detailed findings without losing sight of what required attention. The interface had to support dense operational information while making risk levels, status changes, recommendations, and next actions immediately distinguishable.

Our Approach

Creating a distinctive visual system for security severity

We moved beyond the conventional red, yellow, and green model and created an alternative color system for critical, high, medium, and low risk. A royal-blue-toned, panther-black navigation environment, custom radar visualization, structured data tables, and a combination of flat and tactile neumorphic elements created stronger separation between navigation, information, controls, and priority states.

Dashboard + Risk

In what’s become our new signature style (though we’ve been designing tactile design languages for over 22 years), we blended 2D elements with neumorphic elements that lift the content up and off the page, giving a sense of depth to the 2D environment. A royal blue-toned, panther black sidebar houses the custom radar graph and corresponding table.
