Masergy, a provider of global networking, SD-WAN, managed security, and unified communications services, brought The Skins Factory in to design an animated user interface for its managed-security desktop application. Rather than treating the product as a collection of static screens, we created a visually active experience in which motion became an integral part of how the interface communicated.
The Challenge
Bringing a managed-security interface to life without creating distraction
Cybersecurity applications must communicate system activity, changing conditions, and multiple layers of information while remaining clear enough for sustained professional use. The interface needed a strong visual identity and a sense of continuous activity, but the animation could not overwhelm the security information or make the application feel theatrical instead of operational.
Our Approach
Making motion part of the interface rather than an effect placed over it
We designed the static screens and animation sequence as one connected visual system. Interface elements, information panels, and transitions were composed to move with purpose, giving the desktop application a dynamic, technology-driven presence while preserving clear hierarchy and readable content. The resulting experience demonstrated how animation could add energy and continuity to enterprise cybersecurity software without competing with the work taking place inside it.
