Holt Financial Digital Bank Wallet

The Skins Factory designed the first phase of a two-part fintech project for Holt Financial: a responsive digital banking wallet that allowed customers to manage multiple accounts, exchange cryptocurrency and fiat currencies, request and send payments, review transactions, manage personal and organizational profiles, and complete registration and verification workflows within one connected financial platform.
The Challenge
Unifying traditional banking and cryptocurrency within one wallet
Holt Financial needed to bring account management, currency exchange, international wire transfers, Bitcoin and Ethereum payments, transaction histories, debit-card offerings, security, billing, privacy, active sessions, registration, identity verification, and organization management into one responsive application. The product had to support a broad range of financial actions without forcing users to learn unfamiliar navigation patterns or lose track of where they were within the platform.
Our Approach
Reducing navigation friction without introducing unfamiliar icons
We designed the main dashboard as the central entry point, then collapsed the navigation sidebar on subsequent screens to give financial workflows more room. Instead of creating custom icons for nonstandard navigation categories, we used the first two letters of each section name, allowing users to recognize destinations without learning a new symbol system. Hover flyouts, slide-in profile and notification panels, alternate dashboard themes, structured payment flows, and consistent account-management screens extended that clarity throughout the application.
Digital Banking Dashboard
When designing the Main Dashboard, we made the decision to collapse the navigation sidebar on subsequent screens. Instead of creating custom icons, which would require a learning curve due to non-ubiquitous nav sections, we came up with an alternative solution. We decided to use the first 2 letters of each navigation item's name. This approach allows users to quickly identify and associate the names with their corresponding letters, enhancing the overall user experience and reducing the learning curve.

After the main Dashboard was designed, our user experience designers went to work on the digital wallet Customer Profile screens. Our goal was to create intuitive and visually appealing screens that would allow Holt Financial’s customers to easily manage their personal information, payment methods, security, billing/statements , follow transactions & view the active sessions history .
